Terms of Use & Data Disclaimer
These supplemental Terms of Use ("Globe Terms") govern your access to and use of the Global Intelligence Platform at socialintelligencelabs.com/globeand its sub-pages and APIs (the "Platform"), operated by Undisclosed Group, LLC d/b/a Social Intelligence Labs ("we," "us," "our"). They are in addition to, and incorporate by reference, our site-wide Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where these Globe Terms conflict with the site-wide Terms on a matter specific to the Platform, these Globe Terms control. By using the Platform you agree to all of them. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. What the Platform is
The Platform aggregates, normalizes, and visualizes data that is already publicly available or made available to us under license from third-party providers — including government open-data feeds, community sensor networks, public broadcasts, and open mapping projects. We do not bypass authentication, paywalls, rate limits, or technical access controls, and we do not collect private or non-public data to build the Platform. A complete, per-layer list of every data source, its license, and its required attribution is published at /globe/sources.
2. No warranty; estimates, not facts
The Platform and all of its data, layers, classifications, scores, briefs, alerts, forecasts, and predictions are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or non-infringement. In particular:
- Object positions are sensor-, feed-, and receiver-dependent; coverage has gaps, and many objects do not broadcast at all.
- Many feeds are delayed (in some cases by 15 minutes or more), and cached or stale data may be displayed.
- Categories and roles (e.g. commercial / private / military, vessel type, naval classification) are inferred from public identifiers and may be incomplete or wrong.
- Forecasts, escalation scores, anomaly flags, and predictions are heuristic outputs — not probabilistic guarantees and not professional, legal, financial, security, or intelligence advice.
- Curated and approximate overlays (chokepoints, strategic sites, geopolitical and economic zones) are illustrative only and are not legal-boundary, navigation-grade, or survey data.
3. No operational, navigational, or targeting use
You must not use the Platform or its outputs:
- for navigation, collision avoidance, flight or vessel operations, air-traffic or maritime control, or any safety-of-life purpose;
- to plan, direct, support, or carry out any military, paramilitary, kinetic, or targeting operation;
- to surveil, track, stalk, harass, intimidate, dox, or harm any individual, or to identify or locate a specific private person;
- to evade, obstruct, or interfere with law enforcement, emergency services, sanctions enforcement, or lawful authority; or
- to make any decision about a person, or for any unlawful purpose.
4. Third-party data, licenses, and attribution
Data shown on the Platform belongs to its respective upstream providers and remains subject to their licenses and terms. Required attributions are surfaced on /globe/sources and, where applicable, on each entity's detail panel. You agree to honor those upstream licenses. In particular, some layers are provided for non-commercial use only(for example, vessel-event data under a CC BY-NC license, and terrestrial AIS) and must not be extracted, redistributed, or incorporated into paid or commercial products. You may view the Platform for your own informational use, but you must not scrape, crawl, bulk-download, copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or build a competing or derivative dataset or service from the Platform or its underlying data or APIs without our prior written consent and the upstream provider's permission.
5. Independence; no affiliation or endorsement
The Platform is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with any government, military, intelligence, or law-enforcement agency, or with any of the data providers, networks, platforms, vessels, aircraft operators, or organizations whose public data is displayed. All third-party names and marks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify and attribute the public data we display. Nothing on the Platform is an official record, and nothing here should be read as a statement of fact about, or an allegation against, any named person, vessel, aircraft, site, or country.
6. Lawful use, sanctions, and export control
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your access to and use of the Platform complies with all laws that apply to you, including data-protection, anti-surveillance, sanctions, and export-control laws in your jurisdiction. You may not use the Platform if you are barred from doing so under applicable law, and you may not use it to facilitate any sanctioned, export-controlled, or otherwise unlawful activity.
7. Intellectual property
The Platform's interface, design, code, layer registry, derived analytics (forecasts, briefs, alerts, anomaly and corroboration indices), and the compilation and arrangement of the underlying data are owned by Social Intelligence Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. Underlying upstream data remains the property of its providers. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view the Platform for your own internal, informational purposes, subject to these Globe Terms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Social Intelligence Labs or Undisclosed Group, LLC, its affiliates, or their respective officers, employees, and agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data, or for any harm to person or property, arising out of or relating to your use of, or reliance on, the Platform or its outputs, whether based on contract, tort, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability arising from your use of the Platform is limited to USD $100. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the Platform or your violation of these Globe Terms or any third-party right (including any upstream provider's license or terms), as further described in our Terms of Service.
9. Governing law and changes
These Globe Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be resolved as set out in our site-wide Terms of Service. We may update these Globe Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance.
