Resume Matching — Privacy Notice
Effective: June 3, 2026
When you use Match My Resume on our jobs page, you upload a resume and email so we can rank live job postings that fit your background. We only do this with your explicit consent, we process everything on our own servers, and you can delete your data at any time.
What we collect
- The resume file you upload (PDF, DOCX, or TXT) and its extracted text.
- Structured details we parse from it — skills, job titles, seniority, location, years of experience, and any salary expectations you state.
- The email address you provide, and the IP address of the request.
How we use it
- We turn your resume into a numerical representation and compare it against current job postings to rank the best matches, which we show you on the page.
- We retain your resume and the parsed details to improve our matching and job-data products.
- Parsing and matching run on our own infrastructure. Your resume file is not stored with Vercel or sold to third parties. We do not run resumes through any third-party resume-processing service.
Legal basis & sensitive information
We process this data on the basis of your explicit consent(GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); CCPA opt-in). A resume can contain special-category data under GDPR Art. 9 — for example details that reveal age, gender, ethnicity, disability, or health. Please don't include sensitive details you'd rather not share; where such data is present, we rely on your explicit consent under Art. 9(2)(a) and use it only to match you with jobs.
Retention & your choices
You can delete your resume and all parsed data at any time — immediately below, or by emailing privacy@socialintelligencelabs.com. Deletion is a hard delete of the stored file and database record.
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy. Consent to resume matching is separate from, and not required for, browsing the jobs page.
